BC/EFA also makes grants to over 500 AIDS and family service organizations across the country - supporting food banks, health clinics and housing programs across the country. These programs include God's Love We Deliver, as seen on The Celebrity Apprentice with Joan Rivers and even Natural Disaster Relief Funds such as the San Diego Wild Fires and Hurricane Katrina.
BC/EFA not only raises money to help with research to help fight HIV and Breast Cancer, they also help the families of those living with them. By funding programs that help these families with day to day living as well. Providing rides to and from Doctor appointments, helping with medication needs, food and clothing for the families. We all have been impacted by HIV or Cancer in some way, either a close friend or family member. Lets do our part to help and donate to this amazing cause.

BC/EFA PERSONAL IMPACT ON MY LIFE
Broadway Cares and The Actors Fund have had a very special part in my life as many of my close friends and family know. They helped me last year when I almost lost my arm and life when I spent a month in the hospital with a MRSA Staph Infection. Seven Surgeries in Six Days and then a month in the hospital followed by Three Months of Home Health Care. They were there to help me not only financially but also with their support emotionally and really showing that they are more then just an assistance program but as a family for all of us in the entertainment industry. Having the family that is BC/EFA and The Actors Fund is really one of the major reasons I have been able to get through this past year. From the visits at the hospital and cards or random calls to check in and just talk about all the things that were going on outside the walls of my hospital room.
After it was all done the love didn't stop, I didn't fall off the radar and everyone just go about their way. But people like Tamar and Tom Viola for example still called, came over for a visit, even tried to take me for a walk when 20 steps made me want to fall over. It is the day to day real life stuff that like, that really makes BC/EFA and The Actors Fund stand out. The money raised is put to real use and it is felt in the lives of the people that we spend all this time raising it for in a very real way.
